High load-bearing capacity – new applications: the Allround Bridging System from Layher
For bridging wide spans or for supporting heavy loads, project-related and hence expensive one-off structures are often needed. With the innovative Allround bridging system from Wilhelm Layher GmbH & Co. KG, scaffolding erectors can now offer this to their customers themselves, with only a few additional parts. The advantage: quick and easy assembly, flexible and repeated use, and high load-bearing capacity.
The new development is a modular truss system that's fully compatible with Allround equipment. The system expansion comprises only a few additional parts that further increase the load-bearing capacity of the system. Simple pin connections ensure here quick and easy assembly of the individual components, including a truss post, a truss ledger and a length-adjustable diagonal rod. This means that supports for heavy loads or wide-span pedestrian bridges of up to around 30 metres freely spanned can now be constructed. Cladding using the Protect System, and roof covering for the bridges, are also possible. Thanks to the modular design, the bridging system can be individually adapted to a variety of situations and is hence extremely economical, unlike one-off products.
The possible uses of the new product are extremely wide-ranging, for example to build wide-span temporary roofs or bridging structures. Another possible use is for supporting scaffolding, podiums or roof structures. To do so, the bridging system is connected to the structures above it using the integrated Allround standards. Not only that, it is even possible to link up downward-suspended scaffolding or several lattice beams next to one another – for a further increase in the load-bearing capacity. When building a pedestrian bridge, it is also possible to pre-assemble it on the ground and then emplace it with a crane, which is a particular advantage when roads have to be bridged. Available in the dimensions 2.07 m and 2.57 m, the Allround bridging system is – not least thanks to its high load-bearing capacity – an ideal supplement to Allround equipment and opens up new fields of business to Layher customers.
