Layher: Excellent!
At the ceremony of the Official Chamber of Contractors of Catalonia (COOC - Cámara Oficial de Contratistas de Obras de Cataluña), Layher S.A. was the overall winner in the category "Safety in Construction" ("Premio a la Seguridad en la Construcción"). With this prize the jury awarded a new assembly sequence for rolling towers: the Safety Structure P2. This was developed at the headquarters of the system scaffolding specialist in Eibensbach to make the usual simple assembly of rolling towers even more safe and comfortable. At the same time it also fulfils European labour protection laws.
According to these, only work equipment may be provided that ensure safety and health protection under normal conditions of use. In addition to an optimal platform distance of 2 metres, the new assembly principle also permits the mounting of the upper guardrail before installing the decks. Thus, upon entering the respective uppermost layer, a surrounding side protection is already guaranteed which ensures that both assemblers and users of rolling towers are always on the safe side.
The coveted award was accepted by Sales Manager Marco Chiesa: "By achieving the award for this innovative assembly sequence for rolling towers, we can once again prove our expertise and our role as an innovator in scaffolding systems. We are pleased that the benefits of the Safety Structure P2 for its users have now officially been honoured."
